Matchmaking collaboration platform

Purpose of the Portal

The Matchmaking-Collaboration Platform (MCP) aims to foster knowledge transfer from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to the wider ecosystem by creating synergy among academia, industry, entrepreneurs, and students at both national and international levels.

Through a digital environment, MCP supports collaboration on various studies, research projects, and innovation initiatives, making it easier to connect experts, share intellectual property, and build new partnerships. By replacing physical meetings with virtual appointments and online B2B events, MCP also promotes greener practices while enabling effective, real-time interactions across borders.

The platform is designed to close the gap between universities and industries by providing a space to share ideas, theses, research, needs, and solutions, thus catalyzing research and innovation, especially in green technologies and sustainable development.

Target Group of the Portal

The platform serves a wide and inclusive audience from the knowledge and technology transfer ecosystem, including:

  • Academicians and Researchers: To develop and strengthen education, training, and joint research projects, and to present intellectual properties such as patents.
  • Companies: To connect with academics and other companies for collaborative innovation, licensing intellectual property, and implementing university-industry cooperation projects.
  • Entrepreneurs: To attract investors, realize joint innovation projects, and receive academic and technical support for their business ideas.
  • Students (Undergraduate, Graduate, Doctoral): To join international project consortia, gain R&D and innovation experience through internships, access academic and technical support, and raise awareness of the TT ecosystem.
  • Other Stakeholders: Including national authorities, technology transfer offices, business support organizations, technoparks, and innovation/incubation centers interested in knowledge exchange and collaborative research.

Benefits of the Portal

  • Free and Open Access: The platform is freely accessible to registered users worldwide, promoting inclusivity and broad participation.
  • Transnational Collaboration: Facilitates international cooperation supported by European networks (ERP, Enterprise Europe Network, COST), enhancing the visibility and impact of joint projects across the EU and beyond.

  • Access to Project Outputs: All materials, documents, presentations, and educational resources produced within the project are stored on the platform in downloadable formats for offline use.
  • Boosts Innovation and Research: Supports the creation of new research and innovation projects, enabling users to find project partners and establish consortia for EU-level coordination.
  • User Engagement and Impact: The platform expects to register hundreds of users across all groups, facilitate at least 100 B2B meetings, and trigger numerous international collaborations and project applications within a year after the project end.
